Dante Somerset is a creator of art that is based on the emotional insights which surface when their mind is free from distraction and when a high-level of spiritual calmness is obtained.
Early Projects
Poor ability to express what was in the younger mind was improved by sketching imaginary cars - a pencil and an eraser allowed adjustments to be easily made.
A new outlet of coding websites nurtured the creative spark, and required immediately captivating visitors with an engaging hero banner.
Alleged artistic flair grew with commissions to create digital feature images that reflected the messages of each particular blog post.
2020 Projects
New methods of creating digital art were taken further by exploring the possibility of AI generated images.
With extra time unexpectedly available, it became possible to start to explore how images could be built up by combining different layers of artwork.
As the pandemic affected mental wellbeing, the evolving digital art started to reflect the state of mind, ultimately resulting in two collections; the first works thought good enough to share.
Collection 17 - Psyche Inhabitants
A surrogate audience and companions on adventures in the sub-conscious.
Collection 18 - Sub-conscious Companions
Creatures of the darkest time before dawn.
Both Collections reflect the deep emotions of that time, in the form of various companions who inhabited the deepest recesses of the mind, although the beginning of hope was also present.

A new year brought a new perspective, and a continuing wish to explore human frailty and a fragile aspirational future.

Collection 22 - Strivation
Lean not unto your own understanding, and the purpose will be revealed.
This Collection is about learning to live with faith, trusting in God when we can’t understand the path ahead, yet knowing that the way ahead will still be difficult.
The Collection starts with acknowledging that life is hard and of the necessity to keep on searching for meaning. Faith provides direction, and guides us as we climb through a torn sky, on the way finding the code to open the eternal chest, which will reveal the future.

2022 Projects
The long, dark and constrained winter brought the realisation that mankind is on a journey, and that we must believe that, with faith, nothing is impossible.
Collection 25 - A Journey
To cast a mountain into the sea is to reveal your true self.
This Collection is based on the certainty that if there is no doubt in the heart and unshakeable belief that what is most desired will happen, then it will be done, for each of us
The Collection starts with staring out over sea and sky, contemplating the challenge ahead. We then chart our course over the perilous waters and throw out messages in bottles to guide those who may follow. Finally we reach the far shore and follow the river inland towards the mountain. Although we feel pain/panic as we remain trapped in our wavering belief, we finally triumph and the mountain is lifted up and slips into the sea.

Dante is exploring new methods of self-expression, notably using movement. New collections will be dropped in late 2022.
